Be A Cupcake! Buy A Cupcake For Epilepsy!
The Epilepsy Services Foundation (ESF) is partnering with the Epilepsy Foundation of Florida (EFOF) to kick-off the “Be a Cupcake! Buy a cupcake for Epilepsy” bake sale to celebrate and support National Epilepsy Awareness Month held in November.
The cost for each cupcake is $1.00. Volunteers will bake the cupcakes and they hope you will buy a cupcake, two or twelve. You can also host or support a community bake sale. Or you can help us to secure financial contributions.
The proceeds will benefit persons affected by epilepsy living in West Central Florida. The goal of ESF and EFOF is to sell 360,000 cupcakes across Florida during the month of November. The cupcakes represent 360,000 Floridians with epilepsy/seizure disorders. We hope this will be the largest cupcake sale in Florida’s history.
You can purchase your cupcakes at ESF’s office on Saturday, November 12, 2011 between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Area businesses will participate in this fundraising event and employees can buy the cupcakes at their workplace.
How can you help?
- Start spreading the word and make plans to hold, sponsor or support a bake sale in November. Volunteer to bake a dozen or two cupcakes.
- Ask 3 corporate sponsors to support this event. Companies can buy the cupcakes for their employees, approve ESF volunteers to “sell” the cupcakes in their break-room or cafeteria or donate them to a local school or organization.
- Ask a local Publix, Wal-mart or a specialty bakery or grocer to donate cupcakes and coordinate with a school, PTO, church or other organization to hold a bake sale to benefit ESF.
- Reach out to schools, churches, other community organizations and invite people to set up bake sales on their front lawn, college campuses, or among their co-workers.
Please complete the Sign-up form and return to ESF. Send the form:
